Would you like to know more? First, let's take a look at why this skin care product is so unique and effective. Then we dive deep into the seven ways to use Facial Recovery Oil that you may not have known about.

7 Benefits of Using Face Restoration Oil

Why is facial oil so unusual?

One of the Greatest Overall Benefits of Facial Recovery Oil? The fact that it's part of Eminence Organics' award-winning Beyond Organic Collection. The products in this collection are made with certified Biodynamic® ingredients – which means they are not only free of synthetic chemicals like all our organic products, but are also grown in a closed agricultural process to ensure the health and longevity of a farm.

Rather than viewing agriculture as a means to an end (like many modern farming practices), the Biodynamic® Farm is a beautiful, complex ecosystem filled with plants and wildlife. The Biodynamic® Farmer works in harmony with the natural cycles of the sun, moon and stars in order to bring every plant to its maximum nutritional power. The farmer applies sustainable practices to achieve the healthiest harvests while protecting and healing the earth by using only natural solutions from their own farm.

The result is the pure and effective ingredients of our Beyond Organic Collection, such as the anti-aging clary sage, the balancing ylang-ylang, olive and sesame oil, which are contained in our Facial Recovery Oil. Each product contains caring ingredients that contain even more vitamins, nutrients and active ingredients than conventional organic ingredients. Studies have shown that Biodynamic® ingredients contain an average of 30% more antioxidants and 47% more vitamin C.

TV personality Whitney Port recommends the oil on her blog and podcast, With a joke. She says: “… the (product) I love right now is Eminence (facial recovery oil). (It is) a natural face oil that is just so luxurious and radiant and I use it at the end of (my regimen), especially when I want to have even more shine … "

Hollywood stars have also noticed the skin-nourishing effects of the oil Cameron Diaz she recommends keeping her favorite oil in her beach bag: "A drop goes a long way to relieve the dryness of your skin from sun and water. A drop on each cheek after a shower will work wonders."

7 ways to use facial oil

1. Signs of aging in the neck area

3. Puffy eyes and crow's feet

A combination of clary sage oil, sage leaf extract, olive oil and ylang-ylang soothes and soothes the complexion and deeply moisturizes the complexion. Because there are fewer sebum glands around the eyes, the oil provides the extra moisture needed in an area that is extremely prone to dryness.

4. Chapped lips

After applying the facial oil to your complexion, why not rub the remaining traces into your cuticles as well? Soften irritated dry cuticles and keep your nails hydrated, healthy, and strong.

6. The appearance of uneven skin tone

Vitamin E and the herbal ingredients in Facial Recovery Oil target the appearance of uneven skin tone on your cheeks. With regular use, the skin appears smoother, more even and refreshed. Spa Treatments: Best Facial For Acne Scars

Have acne scars discourage customers who visit your spa? It is well worth the time and hard work seeing a client achieve clear, flawless skin and the resulting confidence. If you'd like to brush up on the acne scar treatments you have on offer, we have two spa facials available for you that contain products. The first is the Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20% Facial. This treatment can be carried out weekly for a maximum of four weeks. The second treatment is the Bright Skin VitaSkin ™ Solution facial, which can be done once a month.

Before we dive into the step-by-step facial treatment details, let's take a look at other acne scar treatments that your clients may be asking you about.

Potential treatments for acne scars

Laser resurfacing

This treatment is growing in popularity and is often used on scars that were previously treated with dermabrasion. However, this technique carries an increased risk of side effects for people with darker skin or a history of keloids.

Dermabrasion

This procedure is performed by a plastic surgeon who will remove the top layer of skin with a rapidly rotating brush or other device. Usually reserved for heavier scars, dermabrasion can completely remove superficial scars and improve deeper acne scars that may appear less noticeable. Possible serious side effects include scarring and changes in skin tone.

If your customers have questions about acne in general, feel free to share this blog post on acne scars which describes the most common types of acne scars and what they can do to get rid of them.

Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20% facial

The Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20% Facial can be done in about 30-45 minutes, depending on how you want to market it. Eminence Organics Product support team leader Alicia Hawthorne indicates that this protocol does not include extractions or massages. That means you can market it as an "Express Lunchtime Facial" and complete it within 30 minutes.

Before starting the Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20% Facial, ask your client a few common sense questions. If a customer answers “yes” to any of the questions, then you should avoid exfoliating.

The questions to be asked:

• Are you currently using retinol?

• Have you had a chemical peel in the past two weeks?

• Have you recently shaved the treatment area in the past two hours?

• Are you in the care of a dermatologist / plastic surgeon and do you use "peel" treatments at home?

• Do you have a sun / wind fire?

• Do you have cold sores or are you getting cold sores?

Step 1: cleaning

When you are sure that this treatment is suitable, the first step is to cleanse your client's skin with the eucalyptus cleansing concentrate. This cleaner gives the peeling maximum penetration when applied. Follow either the Stone Crop Gel Wash or the Lemon Cleanser. The lemon cleaner contains BioComplex: a booster of antioxidants, coenzyme Q10 and alpha lipoic acid to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The Stone Crop Gel Wash would be more suitable for sensitive skin as it contains gentle ingredients such as chamomile, stone crop and shea butter.

Step 2: toning

After cleansing the skin, apply the appropriate toner and allow it to take effect. Oily skin types may be suitable for our Lime Refresh Tonique, which contains green tea, lavender, and lime juice (a natural astringent). Dry skin types would benefit from the Stone Crop Hydrating Mist, which aids in hydration, while sensitive skin types would benefit from Hawthorn Tonique, a blend of eucalyptus oil and chamomile to reduce the appearance of skin irritation.

Step 3: exfoliate

A preliminary patch test is recommended before applying the Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20%. Cleanse the skin behind the ear, apply a small amount of peeling and leave it on for two to three minutes undisturbed. Then you can neutralize the skin with the Soothing Chamomile Tonique. If there is no unnatural reaction, you can apply the scrub as directed.

After doing a patch test, make sure the skin is dry and use a fan brush or your fingers to apply a thin layer of the Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20% to the face and neck.

Then massage in the product lightly with your fingertips. Leave it on for two to three minutes for the first treatment and leave it on for three to five minutes for subsequent treatments if the customer tolerates it.

Remove with towels soaked in cold water or tea. Immediately afterwards, spray the soothing chamomile tonic on a cotton pad and then rinse the skin with the cool towels and cleanse the skin thoroughly.

Step 4: masking

After completing the peeling, choose a relaxing face mask such as the Stone Crop Masque, the Calm Skin Arnica Masque or the menthol rose hip treatment. The Stone Crop Masque makes the skin appear smoother and firmer. With shea butter and marigold, the Calm Skin Arnica Masque makes the complexion appear firm and enriched. Finally, the menthol rose hip treatment leaves a cooling feeling on the skin with a formulation containing menthol, honey and rose hip.

Step 5: Targeted treatment for different skin types

To nourish the skin, apply a targeted treatment, which can either be a serum, oil, or concentrate. For example, all skin types (but particularly mature ones) benefit from the Firm Skin Acai Booster Serum, as it makes the skin appear noticeably softer and smoother. The Stone Crop Serum is ideal for dehydrated skin types and even reduces the appearance of age spots and skin spots. To make the skin look more radiant, Eight Greens Youth Serum uses concentrated yucca, chasteberry, and flaxseed extracts to aid in lightening. The Clear Skin Willow Bark Booster Serum is suitable for oily skin types as it is enriched with willow bark and tea tree oil to reduce the appearance of red, dry skin.

Step 6: moisturizing

Choose the appropriate moisturizer based on your client's skin type. Do not use the Naseberry Treatment Cream because of its alpha hydroxy acid content.

Step 7: eye care

Apply a thin layer of Lavender Age Corrective Night Eye Cream or Raspberry Eye Masque to the eye area using light blurring movements until it is absorbed. Let on.

Black woman gets a facial massage

Step 8: solar defense

For all skin types, apply Sun Defense Minerals SPF 30 as directed to finish the routine. After a peeling treatment, the skin becomes more sensitive to the sun and the use of an SPF product is mandatory. Advise your client to use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure after each treatment and for a week afterwards.

Step 9: lip care / additional lip treatment

Use the Citrus Lip Balm or the Rosehip & Lemongrass Lip Balm SPF 15 to protect your client's lips. Let your client know that this facial can be done once a week for four weeks. You can then use the lower-dose product – the Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel 5% – at home every two weeks. The cycle of applying a 20% peel can be resumed after a three-week rest period.

Bright Skin VitaSkin ™ Solution facial treatment

Allow 60-75 minutes for this treatment. Regarding the frequency of facials, Alicia says that the Bright VitaSkin ™ Solution facial can be done once a month.

Step 1: cleaning

To cleanse the skin, use either the Stone Crop Gel Wash or the Bright Skin Cleanser. These are suitable for all skin types, but the Stone Crop Gel Wash is particularly suitable for combination skin as it evens out skin tone and minimizes the appearance of blemishes. The Bright Skin Cleanser is very suitable for dry skin types because it contains two active ingredients – Swiss alpine plant extracts and Natural hydroquinone alternative.

Step 2: toning

The Stone Crop Hydrating Mist contains lavender, stone crop juice and jasmine, a formulation that gives the skin a fresh and firm look. Apply one or two sprays to cleansed skin, avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave this product on.

Step 3: exfoliate

A preliminary patch test is recommended before peeling before general use. Depending on your skin type, we have a few options below. The patch test cleanses the skin behind the ear, applies the product and leaves it undisturbed for five to seven minutes. Then neutralize with the soothing chamomile tonic. If there is no unnatural skin reaction, you can proceed with the application of chemical peel.

For the patch test on sensitive skin types, mix equal parts Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant and Bright Skin Cleanser. Apply to an area such as the neck using circular motions. Leave on for two to five minutes and then rinse off.

For everyone else, apply the Bright Skin Licorice Root Peeling Peeling. Use an eyedropper on a cotton ball or put it directly into your hands. Apply to face and neck in circular motions, avoiding the area around the eyes. Do not rinse as no neutralization is required.

Now that you have performed a patch test, you can use the Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel 5% to exfoliate. Once you've checked that the skin is dry, use a fan brush or your fingers to apply a thin layer of skin exfoliating product to your face and neck. Massage the product lightly with your fingertips and leave for five to seven minutes. Point out to your client that they may experience a hot tingling sensation. Consider doing a scalp massage as a distraction technique.

After this time, remove the bowl with cooling wet towels. Immediately afterwards, spray the soothing chamomile tonic onto a cotton pad and then rinse the skin thoroughly with cool towels soaked in water.

Step 4: extractions

If you want to do extractions on the client's skin, it will now be done after the peeling step. However, this protocol does not contain an extraction step.

Step 5: masks

You can now apply a leave-on mask or apply a mask using a facial massage technique if you so choose. The Stone Crop Masque can be used for all skin types. You can use the Bright Skin Masque for normal to dry skin types.

Step 6: massage

After removing the mask, a relaxing massage follows. Treat all skin types with the Pear & Green Apple Massage Soufflé diluted with water or tea. For dry to normal skin types, apply a thin layer of the ultra-rich Bright Skin Overnight Correcting Cream or Citron Age-Defying Massage Soufflé instead and dip your hands in tea or other liquid for extra smoothing.

Step 7: targeted treatment

Does your client have uneven, pigmented, or dehydrated skin? Consider a targeted treatment like the Bright Skin Licorice Root Booster Serum. For skin types with dark spots or dull skin, apply the Bright Skin Targeted treatment to lighten the skin's appearance.

Step 8: moisturizing

If the client has oily or normal skin, apply a thin layer of the Stone Crop Hydrating Gel to the face. The combination of stone harvest, bearberry extract and green tea makes the skin appear plumper and more hydrated.

Perhaps a customer is more interested in lightening their dull, dry complexion. In this case, use the Bright Skin Overnight Correcting Cream as it contains shea butter, stone harvest and a. contains Natural hydroquinone alternative.

For combination skin, apply the Bright Skin Moisturizer SPF 40, which supports the appearance of uneven skin tone.

Step 9: eye care

Apply a thin layer of the Neroli Age Corrective Eye Serum or Cucumber Eye Gel to the eye area using light blurring movements until it is absorbed. Let on.

Step 10: solar defense

For all skin types, apply Sun Defense Minerals SPF 30 for sun care. In terms of SPF use and protection, these are the same guidance as for the treatment above. Remind your clients that using an SPF product after an exfoliation is mandatory as their skin is more sensitive to the sun. You should also wear protective clothing and avoid the sun as much as possible for a week after treatment.

Step 11: lip care / additional lip treatment

Use the Citrus Lip Balm or the Rosehip & Lemongrass Lip Balm SPF 15 to protect and plump up your client's lips.

Clean & Clear Lemon Gel Facial Cleanser with Vitamin C Review

Price $ 5.99

My experience

Lemon is one of the most important ingredients for making detergents in the olden days. It looks like Clean and Clear took the same age-old concept and brought back the goodness of lemon in their latest face wash.

This new face wash with lemon extract and vitamin C is why I wanted to try it. When someone like me, who has spent my entire childhood admiring my grandmother's lovely DIY facial cleansers with lemon, sees a product that has lemon as the main ingredient that you know the purchase is an emotional one.

I've been using it for over a week now and I can tell you that this lemon gel wash really cuts through the oil and leaves your skin clean and soft to the touch. Also, removing oil and makeup made my skin look refreshed and clean (I always use a makeup removal wipe to remove makeup first). It didn't dry out my skin like some oil removing facial cleansers. I can still see some of my little angry spots around my jaw even after using this for two weeks, but I don't expect this face wash to do anything for my acne. I'm very glad Clean & Clear didn't advertise it as an acne face wash. I mostly use this face wash in the morning and at night with my Clarins face wash. Still not sure if there is such a thing as a perfect face wash. Cleaners and moisturizers should be purchased based on skin texture, location, lifestyle, and weather.

This face wash has a nice lemon scent and won't make you smell like lemons, I assure you

Who will like it?

  1. Beauties of oily skin
  2. Those who are looking for an affordable face wash.

Who can avoid that?

  1. Those who don't like products with parabens.
  2. Those with very dry skin
  3. Those who think this is an acne clearing face wash.

Final verdict:

The scent is nice. The foam is gentle. After cleansing, my skin doesn't stay dry and I think it will be a nice summer skincare product!

Facial Reflexology: The Benefits Of Reflexology May Surprise You

Do you want to make your spa stand out from the rest? When it comes to enhancing your client's skin, reflexology may be the next breakthrough service to add to your treatment list. You may have heard of this centuries-old practice, but you are still wondering what exactly facial reflexology is and how it can help the wellbeing of your spa clients. Read on to find out how facial reflexology techniques can stimulate the brain and nervous system for skin benefits.

What is facial reflexology?

Facial reflexology is inspired by two main methods. The first is the Dien Chan, created by Dr. Bùi Quôc Châu rooted in traditional Vietnamese and Chinese medical systems. The second method is that Sorensensistem method, created by Lonely Sorenson and founded in East and South American traditions.

Reflexology has been practiced across cultures for centuries, but to date scientists have been unable to explain the functional pathways of traditional Eastern medicine. Please remember that there is no scientific explanation for the anatomical pathways and physiological mechanisms of the meridian system on which traditional Chinese medicine is based. Even so, reflexology treatments have anecdotally helped many people find great pain relief, improved skin health, and other health benefits.

How does facial reflexology work?

Facial reflexology stimulates reflex points and zones on the scalp and face to stimulate the brain. It is a gentle and non-invasive technique achieved by using the fingertips for pressure point massage on the face and scalp. These pressure points are meant to relate to different parts of our anatomy. Natural or organic facial oils are usually used as part of the massage without the need for other devices.

Eminence Organics International trainer Brian Goodwin explains how improvements can be achieved through special facial massage techniques that treat the body holistically by stimulating meridian points.

Three common reflexology points are:

  • Taiyang: the temples
  • Bitong: the nostril on the nasolabial groove
  • Yin Tang: the middle of the forehead or the "third eye"

It is believed that the body's meridians are vital energy pathways to your organs and body systems. By massaging specific reflex zone points, this technique is said to reduce stress and promote blood circulation and oxygen levels in the face. This is believed to improve the appearance of the skin, making it appear tighter, tighter, and plumper.

What Are The Benefits Of Facial Reflexology?

The benefits of facial reflexology may include:

  • Reduced muscle tension
  • Healthier skin
  • Pain relief
  • Improved sleep
  • More energy
  • Improvement in immunodeficiency
  • Improved mood
  • Headache relief
  • Clearer sinuses

"Reflexology benefits include improving skin, sleep, and energy levels, as well as reducing muscle tension and providing chronic pain relief," explains Brian. “General improvements to the skin can include increased hydration, blood flow, and vitality. A doctor can also target certain skin conditions such as acne, rosacea, and eczema. “However, practitioners should still approach their treatments holistically,” he says.

Woman enjoying facial reflexology treatment

Incorporate reflexology treatments into your spa

When it comes to skin enhancement, facial reflexology can improve a spa client's overall health, which in turn helps the skin. They can offer treatment for problems like stress, muscle tension, headaches, or sinus problems.

"If you offer facial reflexology as a free addition to facials and massages as a monthly promotion, you can offer it as a service to your customers," says Brian. "It also opens the door for your practitioners to talk to customers about the benefits."

The first step in implementing facial reflexology is education. This means that the doctor will inform clients what facial reflexology is and how it is practiced. You also need to communicate the health benefits of facial reflexology through effective marketing on your website and on social media.

"Your typical client may not know what reflexology is and may never have heard of it," says Brian. "Without helping them understand the purpose and value of reflexology, customers are unlikely to book it or add it as a new service."

Planning a thorough consultation with your customers is an important success factor in facial reflexology. This will help you determine their needs, desired results, and select the best products for their skin type and concerns.

When it comes to choosing Eminence Organics facial reflexology products, we usually turn to a facial oil. “An excellent product that can be used in addition to facial reflexology for all skin types is our Facial Recovery Oil,” says Brian. This is a luxurious face oil suitable for all skin types and made with Biodynamic® ingredients from Demeter International Certified Biodynamic® farms.

For use, Brian recommends placing two to three drops in your hands, gently spreading the oil over your hands, and then pressing it onto the client's face, neck and décolleté before performing any reflexology techniques.

How To Do A Facial Massage At Home

If you've ever admired your skin after a treatment and thought, "That but glow! ", we will let you in on a little secret. One of the keys to a radiant, timeless complexion is a well-performed facial massage. Massaging the face not only relieves tension, but also promotes blood circulation, gives your skin an immediate boost and even helps that your products will absorb better. Read on to learn more about the benefits of facial massage and how to treat yourself to one at home.

What is facial massage?

With roots in China, Mexico, Hungary and Sweden, facial massage has developed a lot over the years. Eminence Organics International trainer Brian Goodwin Says, "Therapeutic massage began about 4,500 years ago and has expanded to include the discovery of face-lifting massage, lymphatic drainage, reflexology, the Swedish style and other techniques." Facial massage applies the principles of body massage to the muscles of the face. Not only does this reduce facial tension (which leads to fine lines and wrinkles), it also increases blood and lymph circulation to help rejuvenate the skin.

Benefits of facial massage

As Brian says, "The real benefits of massage are in massaging what's under the skin." He compares the structure of the skin to a house: it has a roof (epidermal tissue), a framework (skin tissue) and a foundation (subcutaneous tissue, fat and muscle tissue). Skin problems and conditions don't just affect the roof. Rather, they extend to the foundation. When we apply active and targeted pressure on the facial muscles, we can treat skin conditions from the foundation, which leads to better and longer-lasting results.

Structure of the skin infographic

Here is a closer look at the benefits of facial massage for the skin.

Increases blood circulation

ONE The 2018 study found that stimulating the skin with a five-minute facial massage increased blood flow for up to 10 minutes. Better blood circulation goes hand in hand with more oxygen and nutrients – both of which are important for the skin to perform important functions.

The short-term result of increased blood flow is an instant glow. When blood rises to the surface, the skin radiates from the inside out. The long-term result is greater and more efficient collagen and elastin production. Over time, this contributes to a stronger and more resilient complexion.

Activates the lymphatic system

The lymphatic system acts as the body's garbage disposal: it helps remove waste and toxins from body tissues, including the skin. But as Brian explains, "Our lifestyle tends to keep the lymphatic system from doing its job because our life is stagnant." When things get sluggish, toxins build up and block our lymph nodes, making the skin look puffy.

Lymphatic drainage is a gentle massage technique that encourages the movement of lymph fluids throughout the body. This type of massage targets the lymph nodes under the ears and neck, helping to drain toxins and remove excess waste. This in turn minimizes swelling and helps to "deflate" the skin.

Lifts & plump skin

We have a lot of tension on our faces, from furrowed brows to pursed lips and clenched jaws. When the muscles under our skin (almost 43 to be precise) are young and strong, they can quickly recover from facial tension. However, Brian explains, “These muscles lose their tone over time and the foundation begins to slide. When the foundation slips off, cheeks form, loosening the tissue around the eyes and making the entire face slack. “As those wrinkles deepen, fine lines and wrinkles can also develop (see you, forehead lines).

These muscles lose tone over time and the foundation begins to slide. When the foundation slips off, cheeks form, loosening the tissues around the eyes and making the entire face slack.

The facial massage works like a non-surgical face lift and helps to tighten the muscles under the skin. Like the rest of the body, the more you exercise these muscles, the stronger they get. Over time, facial massage (and even Facial Yoga) can improve skin firmness and resilience, helping to smooth out wrinkles and keep them toned, firm and toned.

Improves product intake

Massage also helps increase the penetration of the active ingredients in your preferred skin care regimen. The heat generated by the warmth of your hands and the activation of the facial muscles makes the skin more accessible for product absorption. This increases the efficiency and effectiveness of the key ingredients as they can more easily get into the deeper layers of the skin (the foundation) to address specific skin problems and conditions.

How to do facial massage at home

Convinced? Follow these facial massage steps to indulge yourself at home.

1. Clean your hands and face

Always (Always start with a clean base. Prep your skin by cleaning and removing all makeup. And make sure your hands are clean so you don't transfer bacteria to your newly cleaned complexion. The last thing you want is to massage dirt and grime back into your skin.

2. Warm product in hands

The key to a successful facial massage is slip. You never want to feel like you're pulling or pulling on your skin. A small amount Serum, oil or concentrate help your fingers to move more gently over your face – and ensure that the active ingredients reach the deepest layers of the skin. Simply apply a small amount of the product to your palms and rub the formula to evenly distribute it on your hands and fingertips. Our choice: Rose Hips Triple C + E Firming Oil. Or combine the massage with the cleansing step and choose our Stone Crop Cleansing Oil.

3. Use light but firm pressure

You want to apply enough pressure to really feel and move the muscles under the skin. Brian advises, "When you massage, work with muscles, not just the surface of your skin, and apply pressure in a targeted manner." That means don't go too hard for your skin. A facial massage is not a deep tissue massage: apply firm pressure but keep it gentle.

When it comes to massage, work with muscles, not just the surface of the skin, and apply targeted pressure.

4. Start massaging the lymphatic area

Start by activating your lymphatic system. Use your fingertips to massage the lymph nodes under your ears and on the sides of your neck. Use wide circles sticking out from under your ears, towards your neck, and back down your jaw. This encourages the buildup that causes you to feel puffy or puffy to keep moving.

5. Knead the sides of your face

Next, aim for the sides of your face. Using circular motions, massage the circumference of your face along the sides of your jaw and over your cheekbones. Remember to push your skin up and out – not down. This will help lift sagging skin and prevent the skin from drooping any further. Repeat this process for two to three minutes, focusing on the areas where you are most tensioned (usually around the jaw).

Facial massage steps infographic

6. Smooth forehead lines

Now for those annoying forehead lines. Press your fingers between your browbones and slowly slide them across your forehead. Repeat this movement over your forehead, gently pulling the skin up and out. Massaging against the lines (rather than with them) will help smooth them out in the right direction.

7. Be extra careful around the eyes

Next is the eye area. As always, be extremely sensitive to this area where the skin is thinner and more fragile. Position your fingers on either side of your nose and gently guide them up towards your temples. This action helps fight puffiness, lift sagging skin, and wake up the eye area.

8. Finish with your neck & décolleté

Finally, aim for your neck and cleavage. Using light vertical strokes, massage the skin from the chest over the neck to the jaw. This will help reactivate the lymphatic system and smooth out any fine lines that have built up in this often neglected area.

Discover Face Yoga at home

After enjoying a facial massage, you can also try facial yoga to get blood flow to this area. To release some tension from your upper body, pull your shoulders down to relax. Then, using your fingertips, gently smooth them down your forehead to your temples. Take deep breaths in and out as you apply this gentle pressure as your knuckles cross your forehead. You can do this four or five times, or until you relax. Take three fingers, reach for the temple on the opposite side and tap it gently.

Another facial yoga movement is to stretch our necks. Start by straightening your head, relaxing your shoulders, and raising your hand up and up to reach the opposite side of your head. With your fingers on the opposite side of your head, gently straighten your neck and shoulders and hold for three seconds. Repeat on the other side.

Try this pucker lips exercise

That is fun! You want to pucker your lips left and then right, with your head following the direction of your lips. As you turn your lips to the left, start by turning your head as well and lifting it up at a 45-degree angle. Hold this position for three seconds. Repeat on the right side, rotating your lips and head to the right, keeping your head at a 45 degree angle. Hold for three seconds. Repeat this exercise about five times.

Treat yourself to an eye massage

Take two fingers and circle under and around the eyes over the forehead area, pausing at the temples. You can do this five times. For another eye exercise, place your index finger on your upper lip and your middle finger under your lower lip. Then return to the temple and repeat five times on each side.

Relax with a forehead massage

Sweep ten fingers up to your temple five times on each side. Place your fingertips around your eyes and brush your fingers down to the hairline. Finally, slide your fingers over your face and neck. Another alternative is to slide up the side of the neck as well.

Should I use massage tools?

You can certainly use devices like jade rollers and gua sha to do your facial massage, but we're partially interested in using the hands. This allows for better control over the pressure and the ability to use your fingers to capture particularly tense areas. The exception: your eye area. A cool jade roller – or our stainless steel roller Hibiscus Ultra Lift Eye Cream – Can work wonders for puffy, tired eyes. Just put it in the refrigerator before applying for a super soothing eye treatment.

Here's how to add a massage to your skin care routine

The secret to long-term results is getting a regular facial massage. Beauty experts recommend adding a facial massage to your skin regimen two to three times a week. This can be helpful in promoting blood circulation, relieving tension, and lifting and tightening your complexion over time. Whether you choose your morning or night routine is up to you. We recommend adding extra strength to your skin before bed (after all, it performs most of its key functions while you sleep).

Benefits Of Facial Oils | Eminence Organic Skin Care

After endless indoor time and the warmer months ahead, our skin cries out for extra love. While you may be a master at the combination of cleanser and moisturizer, and even reach for a weekly mask, there is one key component that is too often overlooked: facial oil. In the recent history of skin care, facial oil has always received the short end of the bar in terms of reputation. It has been difficult to unlearn our impression that applying oil to your face only fuels the acne flame – especially since a number of beauty brands have exploited the misunderstanding in the past and classified facial products as "oil-free".

However, it is high time we understood that oils are critical to completing a robust skin care routine. While lotions and serums are great for general hydration, oil can solve a number of specific problems: scar fading, aging, skin smoothing, and even sebum balancing. Whether you're a vitamin C junkie or prefer a formula made with flowers, there's a lot to discover when you experiment with beauty's best kept secret. The President of Eminence Organics, Boldijarre Koronczay, says about the benefits of these products: "… Face oils are perfectly absorbed by the skin, leaving behind moisture and suppleness."

What are face oils?

With skin care roots dating back to Ancient Egypt and Asia, oils have long been a must have when it comes to hydration and repair. Since naturally produced oils keep our skin cells fresh and hydrated, facial oils complement or complement their process. They include fragrant vegetable oils (essential oils that come only from the flowers or roots of a plant or herb), non-fragrant vegetable oils, and synthetic oils. Because of their softening (their ability to strengthen the outer layer of skin through lubrication) they can trap water, making your skin softer.

3 benefits of facial oils

1. Hydrate the skin

We found face oil to be a godsend, but what does it actually do that other products can't? Well, it turns out a number of things. It's easy to write off oils as just another unnecessary skin care step, but in reality there is so much they can do to treat and combat a wide variety of skin conditions. Not only are they lipophilic (they dissolve in your skin's natural lipids to give them an extra boost), but they also penetrate deeply into the layers of your skin to trap moisture – great for dehydrated skin – while also forming a protective barrier on top of the skin Skin surface that repels harmful substances.

2. Add nutrients

Of course, these benefits are without considering the abilities of nutrients that are abundant in any facial oil. Certain vitamins or oils derived from certain plants can treat certain skin problems and improve the overall appearance dramatically. Oils made from sources filled with antioxidants are the most recommended by experts. As for the reason antioxidants have become the noun of beauty, it owes all of its properties to reducing the visible signs of aging. UV radiation creates free radicals that damage healthy cells and affect the appearance of skin in the same way that a car that has been overexposed to the elements begins to rust. Antioxidants stop this process and reduce inflammation, making antioxidant heavy oils ideal for sensitive skin. Antioxidants also aid in the production of collagen, which decreases with age by preventing enzymes from destroying collagen protein – which greatly improves the skin's elasticity.

3. Target conditions

Contrary to popular belief, various facial oils can also greatly benefit people with acne, especially oils with antibacterial properties. While we have all once firmly believed that oil products should clog pores and be avoided, the reality is that many acne sufferers navigate extremely dry skin for a variety of reasons, including powerful skin cleansing medications. Many topical acne treatments only remove more moisture from the skin, but the right facial oil will reset your oil production and counter pimples right away while it cleanses and soothes. In fact, it is the oil that does the double victory on pimple-prone skin: it speeds healing and fades while new scars appear. There are also oils that make clear skin their mission for acne sufferers by blending salicylic acid (the acne fighting super ingredient) with the fatty acids needed to correct skin tone and keep your skin plump.

Best Face Oils For Skin Care Products:

camellia

If the camellia plant sounds unfamiliar to you, you are not alone – although the wildflower is not as well known as some of your favorite flora, it is quietly becoming the focal point of the skin care industry. Since the ingredient, which originated in Japan, is easily absorbed into the skin (no grease residues!), It is becoming a favorite with people who are afraid of the world of facial oil as well as those who want a light product on the go. It's also highly transdermal (penetrates deep into the layers of the skin to heal and hydrate from the inside out) and non-comedogenic (doesn't block pores) so you won't suddenly break out.

Distilled from cold-pressed camellia seeds, the oil is rich in fatty acids and antioxidants that rejuvenate the skin while reducing the appearance of aging. About 82% of the fatty acids in camellia oil consist of oleic acid (omega-9). The oil also allows your skin to replenish essential vitamins: A, B, D, E, as well as Omega-3, which helps relieve dryness and damage from sun exposure. In fact, this oil is actively superior in terms of restoring elasticity – it nourishes the skin thoroughly to improve texture and increase suppleness – a must for dry or noticeably aged skin.

Camellia flower

Marula

Marula comes from the African marula fruit tree, which was once wild and extremely rare. He has long been known for his medicinal prowess – he was even known once for promoting fertility. The oil is obtained from the grains of the marula fruit and the nut in the middle. It's also high in protein and antioxidants like vitamin E, which both hydrates and promotes collagen production. In short, this should be viewed as a skin care miracle cure.

Like the camellia, the now cultivated marula is also quickly absorbed by the skin, so it actually serves as an excellent base for makeup. Because marula promotes the skin's innate ability to regenerate itself, it's one of those rare ingredients that offers different benefits to each skin type. Acne? Don't worry, marula contains microbial properties that can stop pimple-catalyzing bacteria – it's also non-greasy. If you're looking to combat the visible signs of aging, its ability as a moisturizer on fine lines and as a general moisturizer can be highly effective. Marula is believed to reduce the feeling of itching or irritation in skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. It is also known to smell amazing and is the basis of many perfumes.

Hemp seeds

Hemp oil is cold-pressed from hemp seeds and is a non-comedogenic powerhouse for hydration. Hemp seed oil is full of fatty acids and vitamins and is known to promote cell regeneration and skin turnover. Since drought can lead to overproduction of oil (a recipe for acne stimulation), using hemp seeds as a moisturizer helps reduce acne by making up for excess oil. It's also strong anti-inflammatory – ideal for acne, conditions like psoriasis, and even improves dermatitis.
And that's not all, hemp oil also provides nutrients that the body cannot produce. Linoleic acid and oleic acid are very nutritious and go a long way in reducing fine lines and wrinkles. You can apply a small amount to the areas you want or use them anywhere as a great addition to your skin care routine.

Hemp seeds

Jojoba

You may know this oil a little better. The jojoba plant grown in the desert of North America prefers an extremely harsh environment. It also produces a nut that is used to make an oil known for its healing properties. Jojoba oil is also particularly special because it is the botanical substance that best mimics human sebum. As such, its beauty benefits are literally endless. Not only is it non-comedogenic, but your skin literally cannot tell it apart from the oil your body naturally produces. This means it is non-irritating and sits on the skin to lock in moisture.
But that's not all jojoba face oil has to offer. Because of its vitamin E nutrients, experts believe it is ideal for supporting acne and reducing the appearance of scars. An antioxidant powerhouse, jojoba can reset the oxidative stress on your skin caused by sun exposure and general environmental factors. It's also antibacterial (goodbye breakouts!) And anti-inflammatory, while also helping to fight skin that feels irritated from eczema and other conditions. Needless to say, it's an all-in-one skin saver – a must have for combination skin.

Grape seed

Grape seed has long been viewed as a cooking alternative to the much heavier olive oil and is also a favorite that is applied topically as a natural beauty product. Made from leftover grape seeds (just another gift from the winemaker), grapeseed oil is similar to marula – it contains microbial properties and is perfect for fighting acne-causing bacteria.

Interestingly, grape seed is unique in that it helps vitamins preexisting in your skin (especially C and E) make its job easier, and it's also anti-inflammatory to help with irritation. Experts claim that grapeseed oil is not just a powerful moisturizer, but that its restructuring abilities improve skin elasticity and balance tone. Grape seed is also full of antioxidants, which we now know to reverse the appearance of wrinkles while sealing in what's already serving your skin – it's a win-win situation.

rose hip

When it comes to skin care, rosehip oil is a staple. Known as one of the most popular Kate Middleton skincare ingredients, rose hip oil is filled with vitamin A and has become an antiaging phenomenon. This can also be the key to navigating dehydrated or moisturizing, eczema-prone skin simply because of the amount of fatty acids that make up the formula – with all that moisture keeping your skin firm in the process.
Vitamins C and E are also found in droves, which reverse oxidative damage and create scars. It is also very capable of improving the appearance of uneven skin tone caused by conditions such as melasma or general sun damage.

rose hip

olive

By preventing premature aging from sun damage, olive oil remains high on the list of antioxidant-filled products for skin and is even recommended for treating breakouts. It's high in vitamins A, D, E, and K, all of which offer something different in skin care but most importantly, deeply hydrate.

Sunflower

Due to the fact that it's loaded with vitamins A, D, and E, sunflower oil also makes the list a beauty product to watch. Not only is sunflower oil known for cell regeneration, but due to the fact that it is particularly quickly absorbed and non-comedogenic, it is ideal for hydrating dry skin that is prone to breakouts.

And sunflower oil can be a real lifesaver, especially for skin prone to acne. Like hemp seeds, sunflower oil contains linoleic acid (omega 6), which is known for its healing properties. It also protects the skin's natural barrier and is anti-inflammatory. It's great for dry skin or eczema.

Sea buckthorn

Despite its name, sea buckthorn oil is not extracted from the seabed, but from the fruits and seeds of the sea buckthorn plant. While the thorns on the shrub make harvesting difficult, it's an antioxidant blast (wave goodbye to UV damage) that's great for sensitive skin – no wonder it's been a Chinese medicine favorite for a thousand years. The oil is quickly absorbed into the skin when applied.

If you want to continue convincing of its magical properties, the vitamin C content of the superfruit is 12 times that of an orange. It also contains over 190 nutrients and phytonutrients and a uniquely high fatty acid content. The skin conditions that are known to improve range from rosacea to psoriasis as they can reduce swelling and redness. It is also shown to improve uneven skin tone while increasing collagen production, resulting in a brighter complexion than ever before.

Sea buckthorn

Argan

Given that the argan tree is the oldest living tree species in the world, it should come as no surprise that it offers a slew of beauty benefits. Argan oil comes from the grains of argan fruits (which resemble large olives) and is so rich in fatty acids and vitamins that it has been nicknamed "liquid gold". North African women have used the oil for centuries, but it has recently become popular with beauty junkies to reverse the appearance of sun and age spots while balancing the skin's sebum for a fresh, dull complexion.

This is one of those rare oils that can really do it all: it uses essential vitamins to fight oxidative stress, while linoleic acid soothes inflamed skin and improves overall texture. Studies have also shown that regular application of argan oil changes the skin at the cellular level and actually increases the skin's water retention. If you're looking for intense hydration quickly, look no further.

Where do they fit in a skin care routine?

The nature of skin care is very personal – every skin is different and every individual has certain preferences for their appearance. However, a general rule of thumb for most products is to start with the lighter formulas first. Let them soak into the skin, then move on to thicker treatments.

While oils definitely have the ability to penetrate multiple layers of the solution, you should take full advantage of a quality organic oil by making sure you incorporate it into the correct step of your skin care routine. Face oils can be applied before or after moisturizers, depending on the products used. They can be used to treat your skin before or after the moisturizer to allow it to penetrate your skin through the moisturizer. If you've heard of oils that come after moisturizers, sometimes they're mineral oils with such a high density that nothing can be absorbed after the oil (for reference, Eminence Organics face oils don't contain mineral oils). Another option is to mix your oil with your moisturizer. You can just add a few drops to your other products to take advantage of their benefits. It's just about figuring out what's best for your skin.

How to apply a face oil:

As with perfumes, it is easy to "squeeze" a face oil with an overly vigorous application. Dermatologists recommend placing one to four drops of oil in the palm of your hand before gently warming the product in your hands. Then, instead of rubbing it like a moisturizer, gently press your entire hand into the skin to allow the oil to absorb without irritating the skin's surface from friction. You can use facial oil either in the morning or evening, or as a spot treatment for pimples or uneven skin tone.

Now that we're better at skin care, it's obvious that oils are just as much a necessary addition to your regimen as moisturizing lotions – especially since most of the latter are heavily water-based and therefore not pliable enough to tackle the tough problems (read : Signs of aging). When dealing with poor air quality and general environmental pollution, facial oil can act as a protective shield for your skin. Temperature shifts are also the ideal time to incorporate an oil into your everyday life. Cold weather can make your face dry and flaky, while warmer temperatures mean constant mediation of UV damage. If you feel like your skin is drying out, dermatologists suggest that a drop of oil can be more effective than moisturizing it.

Unlike most skin care products, which are clearly intended for specific areas of skin, oil is just as beneficial for any part of the body as it is for your face. It's a great addition to a full body beauty routine, especially if you have severe dryness or eczema in a particular area. Bottom Line: When it comes to hydration, facial oil is the product that keeps proving to be the most valuable weapon in your skin care arsenal.

Clean & Clear Lemon Gel Facial Cleanser with Vitamin C Review

Price $ 5.99

My experience

Lemon is one of the most important ingredients for the production of detergents in the old days. It looks like Clean and Clear used the same age-old concept and brought back the goodness of the lemon in their latest facial detergent.

This new facial detergent with lemon extract and vitamin C is the reason why I wanted to try it. When someone like me, who has spent all his childhood admiring my grandmother's beautiful DIY facial cleanser with lemon, sees a product that contains lemon as the main ingredient that you know the purchase is emotional.

I've been using it for over a week now and I can tell you that this lemon gel wash really cuts through the oil and your skin feels clean and soft. Also, removing oil and makeup made my skin look refreshed and clean (I always use a makeup removal wipe to remove the makeup first). It didn't dry out my skin like some oil-removing facial cleansers. I can still see some of my little angry spots around my jaw even after using this for two weeks, but I don't expect this facial wash to do anything about my acne. I am very happy that Clean & Clear did not advertise it as an acne facial detergent. I mostly use this face wash in the morning and my Clarins face wash at night. I'm still not sure if there is such a thing as a perfect face wash. Detergents and moisturizers should be purchased depending on your skin texture, location, lifestyle, and weather.

This facial detergent has a nice lemon scent and won't let you smell of lemons, I assure you

How To Give Yourself A Facial At Home

Self-isolating means sacrificing many simple pleasures. When you eat with friends or celebrate with an extended family, everyone feels like a distant memory. But perhaps short-term access to professionally managed repairs has the greatest impact on us in the short term. This means that we will turn our backs on this normal facial if our skin care is probably more in need of refreshment than ever. increased Blue light damage from screens and dehydration due to endless time indoors make the skin beg for attention. The advantage, of course, is that with the extra time at home that some of us experience during self-isolation, you can take care of the skin yourself.

While your bathroom may not think of a candle as a spa experience, don't let fancy tools or professional-grade products stop you from hugging your inner beautician – a decent facial from the comfort of your own home is completely doable. Improve your skin care routine with a facial at home that is as simple as following a few steps.

What is a facial?

Whether you're a facial fanatic or a total novice, it's important to understand what exactly a facial adds to your beauty routine. An all-inclusive approach to skin care, a facial is a treatment or Range of treatments that can target multiple skin conditions. We are now all aware that the skin on our face is a map for our body's needs, and a facial serves as an infographic to indicate deficiencies or general conditions that require special care.

Now, not all of these facials are safe – or even possible – to do alone. Due to the required precision and experience, extractions should be avoided under all circumstances. Chemical peels should also not be tried yourself, as they cause pigment irregularities and can even permanently scar your skin if misused. Even without these more advanced treatments, you can indulge yourself for an hour to reset your skin. Although nothing can replace the expertise and experience of a professional treatment, a facial treatment at home can keep your skin healthy until your next opportunity to visit your beautician.

Why are you giving yourself a facial at home?

Experts recommend a facial once a month if your skin is often problematic or every time your surroundings change or you enter a new climate (read: if you are suddenly forced to stay indoors for weeks). Facials are an extension of your other skin care products such as peeling, deraplaning or masks. Enter the time exactly as you enter a manicure or tidy up your eyebrows.

A facial is also an opportunity for you to separate yourself from work at home and relax in your free time – pamper yourself and take care of your skin's needs in different circumstances. Regardless of whether you're struggling with a lack of work, relationship problems, or fears related to the current circumstances, this is one way to decompress and boost morale. Facials should be done at night when your skin is best ready for repair. So consider it another way to relax. Your skin also renews itself every 20 to 30 days, so you are likely to see results within a few weeks of your facial.

How to give yourself a facial at home

Here's your step-by-step guide on how to give yourself a quality facial:

Eminence Organics Facial At Home infographic

1. Make sure you pull your hair off your face and secure it with a headband or towel so that you can easily apply your skin care products with the least amount of dirt. Now, It's time for makeup removal! If you are trying to remove your makeup with less friction (hello wrinkles), you should apply an oil cleaner in a circular motion before rinsing it off or removing it with a warm, damp washcloth. If you're battling stubborn eye makeup, you can try applying an eye in addition to the oil cleanser Make-up remover on a cotton pad and wipe gently.

2. After removing your makeup, Double cleansing by massaging a small amount of another cleanser on the face and neck for 1-3 minutes (dilute with water if necessary). Facial massages not only give your skin better absorption of the product, but also promote the removal of deposits on your face that cause swelling. Be sure to push the skin up during the massage to give your face a natural lift. Gently smooth wrinkles around the forehead and eyes as you walk. This will relax the facial muscles. Rinse well

3. Spray or apply toner with cotton pads. Think of the neck and décolleté (avoid the area around the eyes here) as these are the first areas other than the face that indicate age. Toners are important to complete the cleaning process and protect the skin from environmental stressors.

Woman steaming face over bowl of water

4. If you particularly like facials that get a little steamy, don't be afraid – you can definitely do it yourself. Pour boiled water into a large bowl and place your skin six inches away while covering your head with a towel to trap the steam. This opens your pores and prepares your skin for peeling and absorption. You can steam up to 10 minutes, two minutes each.

5. Gently massage a peeling into the skin. Be careful not to scrub or pull, especially in the eye area where the skin is thinner, but carefully remove dead cells and dirt or makeup. Rinse well.

6. It's masking time! Apply a thin, even layer of your mask (it can be tempting to get thick, but it is not necessary) and leave it on for five to 10 minutes before removing it with a damp facial tissue. Use your previous massage techniques for added benefit. Remember to include your neck and cleavage.

7. To deeply moisturize your skin, grab your facial oil or moisturizer for another massage. Avoid areas prone to acne. Knead your face gently for five to ten minutes before rinsing off the product.

8. Now to lock in moisture: apply a serum that suits your skin and massage in a circular motion.

9. Grab your favorite eye cream, mix the product lightly and tap until it is absorbed.

10. Take your moisturizer and apply a thin layer on your face, neck and décolleté. Leave all the last three products on.
