Best Peptide Skin Care Products & Treatments

Wrinkles, fine lines, dry skin. Noticing changes in your skin can be worrying or even alarming, but peptide skin care products might be just the answer. Peptides are more than just a buzzword in skin care – they reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for visibly smoother, plumper and more youthful-looking skin. Let's examine the effects of these ingredients, their benefits, as well as spa treatments with similar collagen boosting effects.

What are peptides?

Peptides are a vital ingredient in skin care products that make the skin look plump and youthful. When applied to the face, peptides activate the production of proteins (such as collagen) in the skin. Collagen is important when it comes to improving the look of our skin. It acts as a building block for skin, bones, joints, teeth, muscles, joints and connective tissue and gives our skin firmness and elasticity. Unfortunately, collagen production decreases with age, which makes the skin look less youthful. By including peptides in your skin care regimen, you can dramatically improve the appearance of the tone and texture of your skin.

Curious about the effectiveness of these ingredients? Let's take a closer look at the product options and spa treatments below.

Spa treatments for smooth skin

Peptide skin care products aren't the only solution to strong, supple looking skin. Support your skin with collagen-boosting spa treatments; You can contact an Authorized Eminence Organics Spa in your area to see what services they offer.

Microneedling

Microneedling (or collagen induction therapy) is said to stimulate collagen production. This treatment creates thousands of microscopic punctures in the skin to induce wound healing. These micro-injuries trigger the skin's fibroblasts to synthesize new collagen and elastin. Stefanie Williams MD told Get The Gloss: “Medical needling gives the skin a gentle nudge to remind it to keep producing fresh collagen. It is a very natural regenerative treatment that helps the skin to help itself. "

Laser treatments

Fractional lasers are another point of contact. These work in a similar way to microneedling in that they cause tiny, controlled injuries that trigger the formation of new collagen. In this case, instead of medical needles, the skin care professional will use resurfacing lasers to stimulate collagen production. Dr. Drawer told Harper’s Bazaar: "Lasers work by punching microscopic holes in the skin, creating a controlled burn, and using the skin's ability to heal itself after wounds."

Microcurrent therapy

If your skin is in the early stages of the aging process, microcurrent treatments can be beneficial. This type of spa treatment is best for skin that is showing the earliest signs of aging as it conditions the skin's fibroblasts to function optimally and continue to produce healthy, high quality collagen. In microcurrent therapy, two metal rods that conduct weak electricity are pulled across the surface of the skin to stimulate and energize the facial muscles.

Celiac Disease: Symptoms, Causes & Treatments

Celiac disease is a condition in which the immune system reacts to gluten. Well what is gluten? Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley, etc.

Celiac disease is also known as

  • Sprue
  • non-tropical sprue
  • gluten sensitive enteropathy

Don't confuse yourself with gluten intolerance and celiac disease. When a person with celiac disease eats gluten, the person's immune system attacks their own body tissues. However, when a person is gluten intolerant, gluten intake causes short-term abdominal pain and gas.

In contrast to gluten intolerance, celiac disease damages the body in the long term.

What's the harm in celiac disease?

While the person has celiac disease, the immune response to gluten creates toxins that destroy the villi.

Villi are tiny finger-like protrusions in the small intestine. When it is damaged, the intestines cannot absorb the nutrients.

Symptoms of Celiac Disease

The symptoms of celiac disease vary from child to adult. Typically, unlike adults, children have more digestive-related symptoms.

Children can have the following symptoms:

  • diarrhea
  • fatigue
  • Weight loss
  • Flatulence and gas
  • stomach pain
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • constipation

However, adults can have the following symptoms:

When to see a doctor

If you have diarrhea or indigestion that lasts for more than two weeks, contact your doctor.

See a doctor if your child is pale, irritable, or not growing, and has foul smelling, bulky stools.

Causes of Celiac Disease

More precisely, the exact cause is not known.

Gastrointestinal infections and intestinal bacteria can sometimes contribute.

Celiac Disease Complications

If left untreated, celiac disease and no control over gluten consumption can cause:

  • When your villi become damaged, your body cannot absorb enough nutrients. This can lead to anemia and weight loss. This can seriously affect the growth of children.
  • Malnutrition can lead to calcium and vitamin D deficiencies. This softens the bones in children and decreases bone density in adults. It can also lead to reproductive problems.
  • Damage to the villi can lead to lactose intolerance.
  • You are at a higher risk of developing multiple cancers if you don't eat a gluten-free diet.

How is Celiac Disease Diagnosed?

People with celiac disease often have high levels of anti-endomysium (EMA) and anti-tissue transglutaminase (tTGA) antibodies. These tests are a good way to start a diagnosis. These can be detected by blood tests. Tests are most reliable when done while gluten is still in the diet.

For people with DH, the doctor may recommend a skin biopsy or an internal biopsy for the final diagnosis.

How is Celiac Disease Treated?

Without getting around the bush, let's say it directly. There is no treatment for this. You need to avoid gluten from your diet to be comfortable and avoid complications.

if your gut is already damaged. Only eat a gluten-free diet. This allows the villi to heal and begin to properly absorb nutrients.

If you are struggling with symptoms, we recommend symptomatic treatment. Symptoms can improve within days after gluten is removed from the diet.

What to avoid in celiac disease

Avoid all preparations

  • wheat
  • spelt
  • rye
  • just
  • triticale
  • bulgur
  • durum
  • farina
  • Wheat meal
  • semolina

Spa Treatments: Best Facial For Acne Scars

Have acne scars discourage customers who visit your spa? It is well worth the time and hard work seeing a client achieve clear, flawless skin and the resulting confidence. If you'd like to brush up on the acne scar treatments you have on offer, we have two spa facials available for you that contain products. The first is the Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20% Facial. This treatment can be carried out weekly for a maximum of four weeks. The second treatment is the Bright Skin VitaSkin ™ Solution facial, which can be done once a month.

Before we dive into the step-by-step facial treatment details, let's take a look at other acne scar treatments that your clients may be asking you about.

Potential treatments for acne scars

Laser resurfacing

This treatment is growing in popularity and is often used on scars that were previously treated with dermabrasion. However, this technique carries an increased risk of side effects for people with darker skin or a history of keloids.

Dermabrasion

This procedure is performed by a plastic surgeon who will remove the top layer of skin with a rapidly rotating brush or other device. Usually reserved for heavier scars, dermabrasion can completely remove superficial scars and improve deeper acne scars that may appear less noticeable. Possible serious side effects include scarring and changes in skin tone.

If your customers have questions about acne in general, feel free to share this blog post on acne scars which describes the most common types of acne scars and what they can do to get rid of them.

Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20% facial

The Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20% Facial can be done in about 30-45 minutes, depending on how you want to market it. Eminence Organics Product support team leader Alicia Hawthorne indicates that this protocol does not include extractions or massages. That means you can market it as an "Express Lunchtime Facial" and complete it within 30 minutes.

Before starting the Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20% Facial, ask your client a few common sense questions. If a customer answers “yes” to any of the questions, then you should avoid exfoliating.

The questions to be asked:

• Are you currently using retinol?

• Have you had a chemical peel in the past two weeks?

• Have you recently shaved the treatment area in the past two hours?

• Are you in the care of a dermatologist / plastic surgeon and do you use "peel" treatments at home?

• Do you have a sun / wind fire?

• Do you have cold sores or are you getting cold sores?

Step 1: cleaning

When you are sure that this treatment is suitable, the first step is to cleanse your client's skin with the eucalyptus cleansing concentrate. This cleaner gives the peeling maximum penetration when applied. Follow either the Stone Crop Gel Wash or the Lemon Cleanser. The lemon cleaner contains BioComplex: a booster of antioxidants, coenzyme Q10 and alpha lipoic acid to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The Stone Crop Gel Wash would be more suitable for sensitive skin as it contains gentle ingredients such as chamomile, stone crop and shea butter.

Step 2: toning

After cleansing the skin, apply the appropriate toner and allow it to take effect. Oily skin types may be suitable for our Lime Refresh Tonique, which contains green tea, lavender, and lime juice (a natural astringent). Dry skin types would benefit from the Stone Crop Hydrating Mist, which aids in hydration, while sensitive skin types would benefit from Hawthorn Tonique, a blend of eucalyptus oil and chamomile to reduce the appearance of skin irritation.

Step 3: exfoliate

A preliminary patch test is recommended before applying the Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20%. Cleanse the skin behind the ear, apply a small amount of peeling and leave it on for two to three minutes undisturbed. Then you can neutralize the skin with the Soothing Chamomile Tonique. If there is no unnatural reaction, you can apply the scrub as directed.

After doing a patch test, make sure the skin is dry and use a fan brush or your fingers to apply a thin layer of the Yam & Pumpkin Pro Enzyme Peel 20% to the face and neck.

Then massage in the product lightly with your fingertips. Leave it on for two to three minutes for the first treatment and leave it on for three to five minutes for subsequent treatments if the customer tolerates it.

Remove with towels soaked in cold water or tea. Immediately afterwards, spray the soothing chamomile tonic on a cotton pad and then rinse the skin with the cool towels and cleanse the skin thoroughly.

Step 4: masking

After completing the peeling, choose a relaxing face mask such as the Stone Crop Masque, the Calm Skin Arnica Masque or the menthol rose hip treatment. The Stone Crop Masque makes the skin appear smoother and firmer. With shea butter and marigold, the Calm Skin Arnica Masque makes the complexion appear firm and enriched. Finally, the menthol rose hip treatment leaves a cooling feeling on the skin with a formulation containing menthol, honey and rose hip.

Step 5: Targeted treatment for different skin types

To nourish the skin, apply a targeted treatment, which can either be a serum, oil, or concentrate. For example, all skin types (but particularly mature ones) benefit from the Firm Skin Acai Booster Serum, as it makes the skin appear noticeably softer and smoother. The Stone Crop Serum is ideal for dehydrated skin types and even reduces the appearance of age spots and skin spots. To make the skin look more radiant, Eight Greens Youth Serum uses concentrated yucca, chasteberry, and flaxseed extracts to aid in lightening. The Clear Skin Willow Bark Booster Serum is suitable for oily skin types as it is enriched with willow bark and tea tree oil to reduce the appearance of red, dry skin.

Step 6: moisturizing

Choose the appropriate moisturizer based on your client's skin type. Do not use the Naseberry Treatment Cream because of its alpha hydroxy acid content.

Step 7: eye care

Apply a thin layer of Lavender Age Corrective Night Eye Cream or Raspberry Eye Masque to the eye area using light blurring movements until it is absorbed. Let on.

Black woman gets a facial massage

Step 8: solar defense

For all skin types, apply Sun Defense Minerals SPF 30 as directed to finish the routine. After a peeling treatment, the skin becomes more sensitive to the sun and the use of an SPF product is mandatory. Advise your client to use sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure after each treatment and for a week afterwards.

Step 9: lip care / additional lip treatment

Use the Citrus Lip Balm or the Rosehip & Lemongrass Lip Balm SPF 15 to protect your client's lips. Let your client know that this facial can be done once a week for four weeks. You can then use the lower-dose product – the Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel 5% – at home every two weeks. The cycle of applying a 20% peel can be resumed after a three-week rest period.

Bright Skin VitaSkin ™ Solution facial treatment

Allow 60-75 minutes for this treatment. Regarding the frequency of facials, Alicia says that the Bright VitaSkin ™ Solution facial can be done once a month.

Step 1: cleaning

To cleanse the skin, use either the Stone Crop Gel Wash or the Bright Skin Cleanser. These are suitable for all skin types, but the Stone Crop Gel Wash is particularly suitable for combination skin as it evens out skin tone and minimizes the appearance of blemishes. The Bright Skin Cleanser is very suitable for dry skin types because it contains two active ingredients – Swiss alpine plant extracts and Natural hydroquinone alternative.

Step 2: toning

The Stone Crop Hydrating Mist contains lavender, stone crop juice and jasmine, a formulation that gives the skin a fresh and firm look. Apply one or two sprays to cleansed skin, avoiding the area around the eyes. Leave this product on.

Step 3: exfoliate

A preliminary patch test is recommended before peeling before general use. Depending on your skin type, we have a few options below. The patch test cleanses the skin behind the ear, applies the product and leaves it undisturbed for five to seven minutes. Then neutralize with the soothing chamomile tonic. If there is no unnatural skin reaction, you can proceed with the application of chemical peel.

For the patch test on sensitive skin types, mix equal parts Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant and Bright Skin Cleanser. Apply to an area such as the neck using circular motions. Leave on for two to five minutes and then rinse off.

For everyone else, apply the Bright Skin Licorice Root Peeling Peeling. Use an eyedropper on a cotton ball or put it directly into your hands. Apply to face and neck in circular motions, avoiding the area around the eyes. Do not rinse as no neutralization is required.

Now that you have performed a patch test, you can use the Yam & Pumpkin Enzyme Peel 5% to exfoliate. Once you've checked that the skin is dry, use a fan brush or your fingers to apply a thin layer of skin exfoliating product to your face and neck. Massage the product lightly with your fingertips and leave for five to seven minutes. Point out to your client that they may experience a hot tingling sensation. Consider doing a scalp massage as a distraction technique.

After this time, remove the bowl with cooling wet towels. Immediately afterwards, spray the soothing chamomile tonic onto a cotton pad and then rinse the skin thoroughly with cool towels soaked in water.

Step 4: extractions

If you want to do extractions on the client's skin, it will now be done after the peeling step. However, this protocol does not contain an extraction step.

Step 5: masks

You can now apply a leave-on mask or apply a mask using a facial massage technique if you so choose. The Stone Crop Masque can be used for all skin types. You can use the Bright Skin Masque for normal to dry skin types.

Step 6: massage

After removing the mask, a relaxing massage follows. Treat all skin types with the Pear & Green Apple Massage Soufflé diluted with water or tea. For dry to normal skin types, apply a thin layer of the ultra-rich Bright Skin Overnight Correcting Cream or Citron Age-Defying Massage Soufflé instead and dip your hands in tea or other liquid for extra smoothing.

Step 7: targeted treatment

Does your client have uneven, pigmented, or dehydrated skin? Consider a targeted treatment like the Bright Skin Licorice Root Booster Serum. For skin types with dark spots or dull skin, apply the Bright Skin Targeted treatment to lighten the skin's appearance.

Step 8: moisturizing

If the client has oily or normal skin, apply a thin layer of the Stone Crop Hydrating Gel to the face. The combination of stone harvest, bearberry extract and green tea makes the skin appear plumper and more hydrated.

Perhaps a customer is more interested in lightening their dull, dry complexion. In this case, use the Bright Skin Overnight Correcting Cream as it contains shea butter, stone harvest and a. contains Natural hydroquinone alternative.

For combination skin, apply the Bright Skin Moisturizer SPF 40, which supports the appearance of uneven skin tone.

Step 9: eye care

Apply a thin layer of the Neroli Age Corrective Eye Serum or Cucumber Eye Gel to the eye area using light blurring movements until it is absorbed. Let on.

Step 10: solar defense

For all skin types, apply Sun Defense Minerals SPF 30 for sun care. In terms of SPF use and protection, these are the same guidance as for the treatment above. Remind your clients that using an SPF product after an exfoliation is mandatory as their skin is more sensitive to the sun. You should also wear protective clothing and avoid the sun as much as possible for a week after treatment.

Step 11: lip care / additional lip treatment

Use the Citrus Lip Balm or the Rosehip & Lemongrass Lip Balm SPF 15 to protect and plump up your client's lips.

Other products to add to your skin care kit

When it comes to acne scars, Eminence Organics is the Senior Product Development Manager Colette Liebermann recommends some additional products.

Spa Treatments For Men: How To Bring In New Clients

Men's interest in their overall health and wellbeing is growing, and the spa is an important part of it – whether it is relaxing, self-medication, or taking care of their skin with the occasional professional facial. In the past, spa treatments were mainly marketed to women. But the idea that only women are interested in the spa is out of date and, frankly, a little short-sighted. If you are a spa professional, it may be time to learn how to bring men and clients with masculine identities into your spa space to increase your bottom line. Let's explore the ideal men's spa day treatments and find out what makes an extraordinary experience.

Are Men Interested in Spa Treatments?

Are you limiting your spa's customer base by not targeting men? According to ISPA's Consumer Snapshot Study, almost half of all spa visitors are men, at 49% (up from 29% in 2005). If your clientele doesn't, you could be missing out on a huge slice of a lucrative cake.

Health and wellness are not just for women – and men know it! Spa treatments are a great way for men to get into this self-care. Indeed, ISPA President Lynn McNees says the desire to relieve or reduce stress is the number one reason people visit a spa – regardless of gender. How can you attract more men to your spa?

4 Ways To Attract Men To Your Spa

1. Create a sense of belonging

According to ISPA's Consumer Snapshot 2016, men visit a spa less often if they are unfamiliar with or uncomfortable with the spa environment. There are several ways that you can help men feel welcome at your spa. First, examine your spa atmosphere and ask yourself who it might appeal to. Do your space, treatment menu, and marketing target all genders? If not, it might be time for an update. American Spa's 2020 Trend Report lists “gender neutral” skin care as one of the top trends of the year. And this category will only keep growing!

To capitalize on this development, consider swapping out an overly or traditionally gendered decor in your space and opting for a clean, modern aesthetic that feels inviting to everyone. It is also a good idea to replace the gendered language in your marketing communications with a more universal and gender neutral language.

Another option is to segment your email list to target specific demographics in your customer base. For example, Dori Soukup told by InSPAration Management DAY WELLNESS Magazine: "You should approach men separately for certain promotions." She suggests segmenting your email database so that you can target men and women separately, but also group them all together in your broader marketing newsletter if needed.

2. Let customers know what to expect

Another way to create the ultimate men's spa day is to give clear directions and let them know what to expect. For anyone new to the spa experience, a little extra communication goes a long way in helping them relax. That is why they came to you in the first place! DAYSPA Magazine suggests "easing the fear of the first time beforehand by answering questions beforehand about what to expect during your spa visit". For example, make sure you have clear, concise descriptions of each service on your spa menu or website. Posting spa etiquette guidelines in waiting areas or locker rooms can also help.

Finally, make sure your beauticians give clear instructions on how to prepare their clients for a treatment. This includes keeping customers informed throughout the service and even explaining what to do when they leave the room. We promise – it is better to provide too much information than not enough!

3. Make participation in the spa and booking convenient

To encourage men to visit your spa, remove any barriers (mental or physical) that cause them to take a break. Spa owner Tracy Whynot says DAYSPA that comfort is important for men who visit their spa. Think of: simple online booking systems, introductory skin care options, a men’s specific service menu or pre-set spa packages for men to avoid overwhelming choices. Convenient services will remove potential barriers and allow a new spa-customer relationship to grow and prosper.

4. Customize your spa treatments

Like all customers, men want their spa and facial treatments to be tailored to their individual skin problems! And while many of men's skin care needs are the same as women's (we see them every day, SPF!), There are some differences. For example, men's skin tends to be thicker and produce more sebum (oil) than women's skin. This means they can usually handle more physical exfoliation and may be the reason why men often prefer lighter moisturizers.

Not to mention the fact that facial hair requires special care and maintenance, regardless of whether the man is shaving or not. Because of this, it is a good idea to offer a wide range of skin care treatments and product options to help solve any skin problems you may encounter. Because, as American Spa puts it, "The truth is, we all need to take care of our skin regardless of gender."

Customer loyalty

Now that you have these welcoming strategies for attracting men to your spa, how do you keep them long term? The good news is that the most effective way to retain new customers who are men is the same way to retain every customer: providing a great experience. Still not quite sure what men want? Just ask! After all, loyalty is about getting to know your customers as individuals (regardless of gender) in order to successfully address their underlying needs and skin issues. Chat with customers face-to-face or send an occasional customer feedback survey if you have an email database. This may help you learn more about the needs of all of your customers!

Best Treatments For Dry Hands

Hand washing is important these days, but notoriously hard on the skin, which often results in rough, dry skin. Because there is little fat on the back of your hand – and the skin there is much thinner – dryness and signs of aging are much clearer on your hands than on your face. If you find your youthful hands become dry and cracked, read on Eminence Organic Skin Care Solutions to reverse their transformation.

Choose rich moisturizers to treat dry hands

If soaping is a priority, the humidity is low If heating systems remove moisture from the skin, you should use Eminence Organics hand care, especially our Mangosteen Replenishing Hand Cream. This luxurious hand cream maintains moisture through multiple hand washing and surface renewal and refines the skin with ours Lactic acid complex. Another effective choice is our vanilla mint hand cream. The organic shea butter ingredient is an excellent softener to moisturize dry skin on your hands with a delicate hint of fresh vanilla and mint. Avocado and rosehip oils nourish and revitalize the skin for a smooth and youthful appearance.

Protect your hands with gloves

Gloves are not only a stylish accessory, but also an essential step to protect your paws from drying elements. Make sure you put on a pair to protect yourself from the wind and keep moisture in your skin. Gloves are particularly important for intensive activities such as washing dishes. Avoid drying your hands with oil spills and wear rubber gloves when cleaning the kitchen. The last thing you want to suffer now is an uncomfortable case of cracked "Dishpan hands. "

Protect your skin with SPF

According to the Annals of Internal MedicineApplying sunscreen to your hands not only protects them from skin cancer and sunburn, but is also clinically proven Protect them from signs of aging. In this Australian study, members of the group who used sunscreen daily on areas including the hands showed 24% less lines, wrinkles and coarseness on their skin. To achieve the same effect on your dry hands, we recommend applying sunscreen to your hands if necessary. A sun protection product like Lilikoi Mineral Defense Sport Sun Protection SPF 30 not only blocks harmful UVA and UVB rays, but also moisturizes your skin and makes it silky smooth.

Fill your skin at night

At Eminence Organics, night treatment is one of the best solutions we recommend for dry skin on your hands. Monoi Age Corrective Night Body Cream is a fabulous (and fragrant!) Way to soothe super dry hands with shea butter that is high in fatty acids. Argan oil provides additional nutrients, while vegetable hyaluronic acid and nutmeg make the skin plump and minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles. After eight hours of beauty sleep, you wake up to hands that are as perfectly moisturized and soft as baby skin.
